Last Giving Tuesday, we knew a rough year lay ahead. It was less than a month after the presidential election, but ICE raids, family separations, and the rollback of immigration protections were already on the horizon.

We could not have anticipated the extent of the anti-immigrant rhetoric and policies that took effect as 2025 unfolded, nor the resulting fear, which continues to inhibit immigrants from seeking assistance, asking questions, and even sending their children to school.

CIANA hasn’t missed a beat; every day, our office is filled with community members completing immigration paperwork, practicing English, enrolling in healthcare, and learning their rights. Our dedicated team helps our clients face their challenges with greater confidence and puts them on track towards stable, secure lives for themselves and their families.

While there is still fear and uncertainty, there is also hope. This year has shown what a lifeline CIANA is to the community, and how much we can achieve when our community in turn joins us through their financial support.
