Case Manager
(Bilingual; Mandarin, Cantonese, Bangla, or Arabic)

Position Overview

CIANA is seeking a dynamic, bilingual Case Manager fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali, Arabic, or another East Asian or South Asian language, to join our passionate team and make a lasting impact on immigrant and refugee families. As a Case Manager, you’ll provide holistic support to newly arrived families, guiding them through job and housing assistance, public benefits, education, healthcare enrollment, and more. Your linguistic and cultural expertise will bridge gaps, empower clients, and foster their integration into American society.

 

About CIANA

The Center for the Integration & Advancement of New Americans (CIANA) is a social services organization that works to integrate new immigrants from the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, Latin America, and West Africa into the socio-economic and civic life of American society while maintaining pride in their cultural heritage.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform community outreach to the various Asian and/or Middle Eastern communities in Queens

  • Conduct client intakes and psychosocial assessments

  • Provide case management, counseling, and follow-up services

  • Conduct screening and navigation services for Medicaid community members

  • Offer translation/interpretation and facilitate case conferencing

  • Connect clients to essential services (healthcare, ESL, childcare, legal support, public benefits)

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records in our data management system

  • Advocate for clients with service providers, city agencies, and schools

  • Support educational workshops and Know Your Rights (KYR) initiatives

  • Represent clients at appointments and attend relevant trainings/meetings

Qualifications

We seek a compassionate, organized, and proactive self-starter with:

  • Fluency in any Asian or Middle Eastern language, preferably Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali, or Arabic (speaking, reading, writing) is required

  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)

  • At least one year of college education (or equivalent)

  • Experience in case management or social services

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse team

  • Deep understanding of immigration challenges and commitment to serving diverse populations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Time Commitment

Full Time; 35 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 10AM-6PM)

​

Salary

$35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
